Screw your life and you get sick
Literally, this is true, in order to remain healthy and live a happy life, we need to conform our lives to the actual needs of our bodies and not the desires of the mind.
Reward for service or escapism
Sometimes we wish life could be more heavenly. but what is heaven and where do we find it? Across the Middle East during a time of growing desertification, Heaven was most often described as an idyllic paradise with lush gardens, an abundance of food and no responsibility, all one’s needs are taken care of.
If we look at the temple Art from north-west India across North Africa, it depicts this idyllic heaven as something akin to the mythical hanging Gardens of Babylon. So perhaps we can say that this was in response to harsh living conditions and indeed those with means either created their own miniature paradise or spread and conquered other lands.

Loss of health, delusion and addiction
Our love affair with sweets began when our parents used them as panaceas and bribes. When combined with untruths the result is often behavioural deviance.
One cannot categorically state that sugar is the root cause of all deviant behaviour, however it is a significant factor. The consumption of sugar as sweets gives a boost of sensory delight and energy that is addictive.
Food manufacturers know this and add sugar to most processed foods to keep people consuming their products.
Many of us as children were introduced to sweets and many of us continually pushed the margins for sweet rewards.

Slowing the decay
Oral hygiene and the prevention of tooth decay are priorities for most people and when it comes to dental care, treatments are expensive and seldom covered by insurance or national health care plans.
Most of us at some time in our lives will get some degree of tooth decay, cavities or even gum disease. The most common cause of tooth decay is the consumption of sugar. This substance is so toxic that young children given unlimited access to soft drinks even lose their baby teeth to decay and great numbers of teenagers lose their teeth due to sugar, and other dietary or lifestyle habits.
Other factors that increase the likelihood of cavities besides sugary foods and

Are The Roots of Crime Biological?
There are many theories about what makes people behave the way they do, but it comes down to a full belly, a stable family life and peace.
Adrian Raine, a pioneering neurocriminologist introduces the latest biological research into the causes of–and potential cures for–criminal behaviour. A few successful tests show that this approach can, indeed, work. On the island of Mauritius, for example, Raine and his colleagues provided extra nutrition, exercise and intellectual

And crimes against our children
All to frequently we hear news stories of children being bludgeoned to death by their parents, forgotten and dying of heatstroke and exhaustion when locked in cars. We also hear of the paedophilia gangs and the owners of child porn websites being busted by law enforcement agencies.
In addition to the general utility and sex crimes committed against children, huge numbers are kidnapped and sold into slavery with the have no rights or freedoms. All around the world it’s estimated that every year, tens of millions of children suffer as a result of adult abuse and brutality.
Within Islam, paedophilia is legal and normalised, but the problem has increased in non-Islamic countries to the

Will we pay a price for our pleasure and conveniences?
In most families, children are taught and encouraged to do their share to help maintain families and communities. This is natural and they can take pride in their contribution. But in the situation that has become more prevalent in the modern world is that children are being forced into lives of hard labour to help maintain adults who should know better in lives of privilege.
This is one of the darker sides of capitalism where in the case of mining, minerals are taken/stolen from the earth and much of the labour is performed by children were often paid so little that they remain perpetually malnourished and are constantly abused.

Or avoiding another mass extinction event
The Doomsday Clock was created in 1947 to represent how close we are to a global catastrophe. It’s maintained by the members of The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists’ Science and Security Board.
The group of scientists, including 16 Nobel Laureates, announced this morning that we have moved dangerously close to all-out disaster. The Clock’s recent advance to two and a half minutes means that scientists and experts agree that we are teetering on the brink of societal collapse or an apocalyptic scale nuclear war, which symbolically occurs at midnight on their scale.
In the years since the Clock was created we have only been this close to midnight once, in 1953 when the

Women have been counselled to become sex workers
The concept of a woman offering sex for money and other favours is generally thought of as the world’s oldest profession and as far as we know, there has never been a time in human history where this has not occurred.
Today in many countries despite the cries of some moralists, what many regard as prostitution has been legalised in many countries. Yet when we look at many marriages, they are often little more than agreements validating sex for money.
Yet moralists around the world even though they may be prostituting themselves condemn the activity of the women who make themselves available to men, but

Tell it the way it is
Periodically in the media this week, discussions about sex education for children re-emerge. Those who consider themselves enlightened want to tell kids the facts of life as they really are while the moral opposition wants kids to remain forever in ignorance until that time comes when they fumble in the dark and are left suffering various forms of anxiety.
In terms of statistics, these prove that children who are well educated about sex are more likely to put off sex until they are older and practice safe sex, they are also much less likely to get pregnant so it seems really strange that the moralists want to raise their kids in ignorance and expose

Illness as a spiritual emergency
I was recently sitting by the bed of a very ill patient who had suffered a major stroke wondering why? Why is it that such a good life ends in such unfair and unimaginable suffering?
The idea dawned on me that perhaps there is some residual suffering that is self inflicted. Just think, today the body fails and the personality becomes angry, disappointed, disillusioned and blames their body, blames God and existence for their pain and this happens in every generation.
Life can be very painful with injuries and illness to body and mind, so if it is correct as Buddhist and Hindus claim that reincarnation is a fact of our human existence, then perhaps
