Caste and Colonialism

Dividing, conquering and creating wealth based class divides

The Europeans evolved to be materialists, bodies and minds with little concept of a soul. There societal values were and still are all about acquisition at any cost. They enshrined divisions between rich and poor in law and there were no laws against plundering, stealing killing and even extermination of those of a different class or culture.

We can see this continuing today and this power structure has its own evolution. It was the British East India company that was most influential across East Asia and the Pacific while the Spanish dominated the Central and South Americas. The corporate bosses made social and military contracts with tribal leaders and often set

Going Braless

Moving beyond the bigotry and social injustice

It is rather sad that we live in such a twisted world with different rules for everyone based on their social class. Hollywood and the fashion industry sets a precedent for women to be as daring and minimally clad as possible while the working classes are required to be strapped up and their bodies a tool of industry, not for public display, because that is the role of the glamour model and movie star.

Perhaps this stems from the time when the Romanised version of Christianity became vogue and a tool to help maintain the capitalist empire with privileges for the rich and mundane work for the poor. In terms of wearing

Naked Thuth

A moral insight into our suffering

Right from birth we are encouraged to tell the truth even though sometimes we have no idea what it looks like because we are living in a world where the truth is suppressed and the education system along with our politicians and corporate masters feed us so many lies that some don’t believe the truth ever existed.

According to a 19th century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day.

The Lie says to the Truth: “It’s a marvellous day today”!

The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the

The Sabarimala Temple Issue

Allowing women to enter Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala, Kerala

Following much public discussion stirred up by special interest lobby groups and politicians keen to cash in on the publicity, and September 2018 the Indian High Court ruled that women of all ages are able to enter Lord Ayyappa temple in South India. These people have little idea that traditional temple spaces are not places of worship in any Christian or Islamic sense, they are places to re-energise and in this sense, the Lord Ayyappa temple was constructed to enhance the masculine identity of men and enable them to function harmoniously in a civilised manner.

The High Court kowtowing to feminists and lobby groups setting aside what scant knowledge of

Women of India

Are Hindu women as unsafe as the media proclaims?

“Shasana Sundari”, a women writing a letter in the Jalasangi village temple in Karnataka from the period of Kalyani Chalukyas. At that time, rule was purely on Hindu principles. Muslim, Christian or western narrative did not exist. It clearly proves, women in India knew reading and writing. Image credit to Arun Bharadwaj

In so many families today, the children think they know better than the parents and in most societies believe they know more than the most highly educated. In our world of nations where it is now becoming increasingly evident that India is the mother of all nations, because India is the humble mother she is

Dharma

The art and science of living while supporting life

Published on: 23 Jun 2016 updated June 8 2018

Dharma is described as a noun meaning to live by the eternal law of the cosmos that is inherent in the very nature of things. For many people, this may be too much of a stretch of the imagination, but it can be redefined as living in accord or in harmony with nature.

The idea of Dharma arises from Yoga and Hinduism because the ancient yogis were able to identify and relate with nature. Unfortunately this is beyond any people’s ability today because we live in such a consumer driven world where personal identity and happiness is dependent on external phenomena.

But

My India

An overview of Historic Processes affecting India

I grew up wanting to know and for some reason I could never accept what was presented as truth in our social history and my schoolbooks. I also wanted to know the the why of many mystical experiences that I was having and find some context. The fact that I grew up in a remote corner of the planet didn’t do me any favours although in reflection perhaps the advantage was that it made me sceptical of everything.

Like most young people I was confused by the bigotry and double standards displayed by social representatives so I learned to walk lightly. My journey eventually led to India and its chaotic colour filled me

Russia's at Fault

Our tribal culture

Over the years we have seen a litany of accusations, Saddam Hussein had his weapons of mass destruction and so many other leaders have previously and since fallen foul of people’s opinions who felt justified in their beliefs enough to go to war and execute people.

This is nothing new, this has being going on for centuries. It begins really with people realising they don’t know and feeling inferior beside those who pretend to know. The thing about being human is that we live on this little planet in some out the way corner of our vast universe and we think we are so goddamn important that we really know stuff of importance. But really, we have

The Task of Reviving India

Sweeping educational changes and responsibility needed

To the casual observer and the European educated, this idea seems strange because India is a country that everyone chooses to mock without any clear rationale beyond this fact: that Islam and the colonialists having raped and pillaged the country have not been able to destroy what is quintessentially Hindu.

The word/name Hindu of course is an abbreviation of Hindustan referring to the geographic area and not what is seen as Hindu religion, another erroneous concept bandied about by experts whereas the proper term for Hindu spiritual understanding is Sanatana Dharma.

What is the problem of India and why does it need reviving?

India needs to be restored according to the precepts of Sanatana

Credit is not given where credit is due

Indian map from the early BC period

We have all grown up in a Eurocentric world where Europe including the UK became the centre of civilisation after the fall of Rome yet this understanding is more mythological than factual.

One thing is certain and that’s that Europeans love their ideas and on analysis they seem to be almost psychologically attached to them that they have written world history as they saw it conveniently leaving out facts that may shed any doubt on their case. For instance when Vasco de Gama left Portugal in search of an ocean route to India, he had to hug the coast because he did not have
