Oh McCain's

McCain Foods (Aust) Pty Ltd

The originally Canadian company McCain’s processes and sells frozen foods in Australasia and they have the motto, “oh McCain’s, you’ve done it again” implying that they’ve done something really wonderful. In terms of frozen vegetables this company is pretty much a household name so the other day I bought a packet of their frozen vegetables.

The supermarket chiller is full of many brands and because it was a familiar brand, I selected a bag of McCain’s frozen greens. My gaze didn’t take me much beyond the title, after all, veggies are veggies and later after preparing a meal, we sat down to eat. But the taste of McCain’s mixed vegetables proved to be so incredibly

Total Curve

Total Curve Promotes Breast Health

Everyone knows that appearances are deceptive and you may well wear a bra to give the appearance that your breasts are uniform in size and ample to show some sex appeal.

While breasts have more to do with nurturing than with sex, with in our highly sexualised society, a nice bust is essential for any woman who wants to be successful in her work and social life.

There is a large amount of evidence that shows that wearing a bra may well be injurious to your health and even contribute to causing cancer which I am sure you what to avoid. Remember too that a bra will not stop your breasts from sagging, it

The Consequences of Alcohol

And it’s impact on civilisation

It’s a well established fact that alcohol dulls the senses and over a long-term period destroys brain tissue. Yet we are sensory beings and we rely on our senses to perceive the world around us as well as to make sense of that world. Therefore alcohol in effect is destroying sensitivity to life; in other words, making drinkers stupid.

Civilisation is a recognition that one belongs to a collective. So if we look at ants, each colony is a unique civilisation in a similar way to us. As human beings we all share common traits, but our sense of civilisation depends on our language and upbringing.

When we look at human civilisation, in the West

Plastics

A cornerstone of modern civilisation

Rubbish is not a third world problem, plastic waste is everyone’s problem.

Plastic is used everywhere – from plastic bags to light fittings, from bubble wrap to cling film and car parts. Plastic is the common name given to products made from oil that have undergone a chemical reaction known as polymerisation, a process where an unimaginably huge number of small molecules are linked together to form the plastics we use and consume today. If you think you are not eating plastic, please read on.

Some say that we are in The Age of Plastic

Plastics have been with us for many years and new generations of hybrid plastics are appearing as composites and

Sugar a sweet poison

Pure white and deadly

Natural sugar cane

The phrase ‘pure white and deadly’ has been around for a long time and few people seemed to care until it’s too late, but others are awakening and dropping it from their diet.

But why?

We instinctively know that sweet things are safe to eat as in nature sweet foods are safe to eat and mothers may notice that babies will readily eat sweets, but it takes about 15 attempts before the baby will eat savoury foods. This is because we instinctively trust sweet foods, but in nature we eat them with the fibre.

Sugar is a modern food additive that has no nutritional value and is not required for our survival.

Colostrum

Mothers first milk

Colostrum is the first milk produced by any lactating mammal and it contains the nutrients required to activate the digestive system of the newborn and the antibodies required to protect them against disease.

Most species including human mothers to be generate colostrum just prior to giving birth. Colostrum as well as being lower in fat, is higher in protein than ordinary milk.

Newborns must receive colostrum within 6 hours of being born for maximal transfer of antibodies to occur however assertions that colostrum consumption is of human benefit to adults is questionable.

In adults, the digestive system is more developed than babies and it is argued that the beneficial ingredients in colostrum are destroyed as they undergo

Fountain of Youth

The scientific evidence

Scientists have targeted a very powerful hormone responsible for human growth and cell regeneration that, once harnessed, has all the properties of a bona fide “fountain of youth.”

It’s known as “Human Growth Hormone” and it’s an extremely important part of our body’s functioning at the cellular level.

In fact, not only does HGH promote the growth and regeneration of cells; it also allows other vital functions in our bodies to occur, including…

Metabolism Brain function Sexual responses Healing Muscle growth… and more.

However, as we age we experience a drop in HGH levels. All the normal results of aging occur in direct correlation to this drop in HGH.

For years, we’ve simply assumed that this is

How to Improve Your Memory

A smart choice for smart people

Those first signs of slipping memory or dementia can be a little alarming – especially if you know the dreariness of that route. You may first see it in your 40s, or even younger, with memory loss symptoms like slower facial recall or where you left your keys.

What groceries were you supposed to buy? Wait – you forgot your grocery list at home. Memory loss really hits home at times and it can be both sad and lonely – to say nothing of the decrease in productivity at work or the effects on family and friends.

While it’s normal to forget things on occasion, it’s a pattern to watch. The makers of Brain

Scar Reduction Therapy

Do you have scars you’d prefer to not have?

Scars from caesarean and other surgery

Scars tell a story of damaged skin and an event that caused a trauma to the body. But scarring indicates that the wound has healed so in that sense, it’s like your body is telling you it’s put the past behind to move on.

But the body and the mind are two different creatures. While physical scarring is rarely a health concern, scars can affect one’s confidence, especially if they are seen by others.

Caesarean scars and scars from other surgeries as in this right image are unlikely to ever go away completely, but with regular treatment they will fade and the skin look

Surviving The Age of Super Bugs

And the failure of antibiotics

Health authorities, doctors and medical institutions have been concerned for many years about the growing resistance of bacteria and viruses to the antibiotics that we have available.

Modern antibiotics are one of the primary tools of allopathic medicine in treating disease, but viruses and bacteria are adapting and we are unable to create new antibiotics to defeat them.

As our population grows and we live packed more tightly together, the risk of disease increases and when our immune system becomes weak, we become more susceptible to the bacteria and viruses which cause disease.

In nature we have this idea of the survival of the fittest. For example the Lions in Africa will hunt down and
