Anticipating Obama Care – Now Trump
Originally published in 2013.
Look at today’s news and nothing has changed except the presidential face. In fact Trumps attitude while being praised in his pre-election rhetoric for disestablishing globalism is turning more hostile to the world and fuelling the military industrial machine without concern for human rights or the rights of nations.
If you don’t know by now, the USA has a nasty habit of inventing some attack or atrocity, or even getting its own agents to do the dirty work. The US relies on its manufacture of weapons of mass destruction to keep its economy afloat and to do this, it regularly starts wars.
As the UK falters in support of Obama,

An age old practice
For the past 6000 years women have been second-class citizens although since the Industrial Revolution, it seems as if they have been allowed a degree of freedom. Allowed away from the kitchen and child-minding provided they look pretty and don’t have an opinion.
When times get tough women most often find themselves confined to the kitchen except on rare occasions as when back in the 1700’s, women stormed the palace of Versailles and demanded social equity. They didn’t get it then and it wasn’t long before French women became the most oppressed in Europe.
In today’s Middle Eastern war, it is the Kurdish and Yazidi women who have taken up weapons against daesh as have other

Pope Francis was recently reported a saying “a person who thinks only about building walls were ever they may be, and not a building bridges, is not a Christian.” Yet the Vatican city is surrounded by an almost impenetrable wall.
The idea of a wall or a more impenetrable fence than what exists between the USA and Mexico has received a huge outcry of protest yet no one has protested the wall between Mexico and Guatamala or the new wall turkey is building between itself and Syria.
The new US president has placed a temporary ban on refugees and travellers from a handful of countries identified as being high risk by

The rotten heart of a superpower

Many of the values of western civilisation come about through competition and perceived basic needs for survival which stand in the way of higher thinking and natural evolution. If we look back over history we can see how greed and desire have shaped the world.
As several hunter gatherers people had to stick to the facts because life depended on those facts, but today the world is awash in ideas and attractive physical stuff or glamour. People are competing to have others buy into their ideas and have people buy their stuff so much so that institutions have been established to buy and sell

The new face in world poitics
Following the result of the 2016 US presidential election, humanity has breathed a sigh of relief because the march of imperialism and Lordship over the world population, not just the USA, but the entire world has been at least temporarily put on hold until the soon-to-be president trumps policies start to come through.
Most pundits say that the United States people just became sick and tired of being abused and disempowered by successive governments, they become sick and tired of the government the wages war in many countries and brings the country into disrepute is the obnoxious bully in the playground.
It has been mostly the US administration that has orchestrated

A different kind of relationship
I’m one of those people who was fed up with the ‘human race’ and the world of politically correct nonsense. Then I got a lucky break by winning the lottery which gave me enough that I never had to work again.
I’d married and divorced some years earlier and bought a modest but very attractive property on the edge of town. I isolated myself to some degree and in social service I took up growing vegetables some of which going to a local charity hospital and some to a cooperative through which I keep a little contact with the wider but more alternative community.
And been there for almost 6 years when Evelyn bought a

And the decline of an empire

The USA does not portray itself as an empire, rather it portrays itself as the world’s policeman toppling dictators and fostering in democracy. While this is the official line that a vast number of people have been led to believe, it is far from the truth.
I don’t recall the logic behind the US invasion and eviction of the Spanish from the Philippines, but this was the first theatre in which the US demonstrated its power to the world beyond its own borders. In the Philippines, the people were initially appreciative that the US had helped to send off the Spanish, that when the US refused to leave the

A troubled nation
He’s a guy fairly representative of the country, smiling like nothing’s wrong when everything is totally wrong.
We are so used to the USA being in the news for all the wrong reasons that no one really takes much notice any more ,and those who do notice either laugh or contemplate what might be in it for them.
It seems that the US plans for the Middle East have quietly come unstuck with the intervention of Russia and the Syrian crisis, a situation that most evidence indicates was created by the US. Now that Russian, Turkish and Iranian relations are sweetening, many US warmongers will be scratching their heads wondering what to do next and some

The joy of student life
Hello again Diana, a few months has passed since my last narrative and my life continues to get more interesting. At school on doing well academically however since spring break of discarded most of my former friends and as much as I sometimes want to make a statement by being provocative, I have been dressing down and hanging out with more nerdy types with whom I can have more meaningful conversations. I also hang out fairly regularly with my stoner friends because out of everyone, the make more sense that there seems to have no real solutions for society’s problems other than dropping out. You may recall I went to a swingers party with Bill

Public disgrace as shit hits the fan
We have had many years of American drama on our big and small screens, and in recent years real-life dramas have become popular and paved the way for a smooth transition into the real world politics and drama of the US elections.
In contrast we have had years of conspiracy theories and protesters crying out that the ‘king has no clothes’. The rich and powerful just laughed at the people and dismissed public concerns as they got on with playing politics and finance.
If we set this against the backdrop the past 120 years, all this political manoeuvring has resulted in a dozen wars and countless civil wars that
