Eroticism

A celebration of life

One of the most commonly shared views of what constitutes 'erotic' is the female body and eroticism could well be defined as an interest or even an obsession with what people perceive as being erotic or pertaining to the act of sexual union.

To break this down further, the erotic generates a smile and stimulates desires that may not necessarily be sexual. Erotica consists of a wide range of subject material, and eroticism is a perception, a sense of passion that people appreciate and seek out what they perceive as being erotic.

Most countries have some erotic representation or erotica be it hidden as within the USA, or on public display as in the Love park in South Korea or the Hindu temples of Tripurantakesvara, Mukteswar, Kalleshvara and the famous Khajuraho Monuments.

When we look at life, human sexuality is an essential part of life and the act of sexual intercourse between consenting persons is one of the greatest joys in life. But when we bring in the idea of erotica, while it is most often related to the human form with sexual overtones, the erotic can also be found in many areas of life and nature.

The erotic is what inspires and gives many people reason to live, therefore its relationship to sex is very primal because that is our most basic desire. When men look at woman's bodies, their minds conjure up many learned ideas about her form and appearance yet underneath is a primal urge considering whether or not she would be a good prospective mate.

In this section of the site there are many consensual and explicit erotic stories,
membership takes you further. are no stories that cause harm and as much
as possible they represent a liberation.

The same works for woman looking at men's bodies and when looking at the same-sex, our mentality is more comparative although most people have moved beyond competitive judgemental attitudes to view bodies in a more artistic sense. This allows the human body to be seen as a work of art which is also inspired the designs of our clothing, furniture, cars and other utility items.

So while erotica can be found in all aspects of nature, it is the erotica of the human body and the layers of sexual interpretation applied within peoples minds that most matters. Here we must remember that although the object of erotic ideas appears external, we can only experience life within our own minds as due to the nature of our five senses, we are unable to have any external life experience.

The entire experience of our lifetime takes place inside our own minds
and what we perceive as being erotic is created by our own minds.

Nevertheless erotica and eroticism is often a secret passion without which there may be little point to life yet the moralists would have us believe that it is wrong.  In fact erotica is essential to life because it inspires and motivates people to breed and to work so that they can support the life they are helping to create beyond their own personal needs. On the flipside erotica simply becomes an obsession where pleasure is the goal and a perversion of life.

In a positive sense, the erotic elevates people and supports their lives. It may be sensual or even sexual in a harmless and consensual manner which smooths the wheels of life. But in the negative sense where the erotic becomes dark and obsessive, it leads to an increased suffering and sometimes deviant behaviour which is antilife.

There is an old saying that we must keep our lives in balance and erotica or eroticism is a healthy part of that. We can see by looking at the institution of the moralists (religious and churches) that when this aspect of human nature is suppressed and diverted into worldly activities, a life of suffering results.

We perceive life through our five senses and our world experience is totally sensual. The erotic is simply an aspect of life that we find more pleasurable and it's just as important as a good diet and exercise plan. What constitutes erotic, erotic and eroticism is a product of our minds so it's up to us to maintain that aspect of our own health and vitality.

The erotica featured in these pages is consensual and serves to illustrate that everyone has a different attitude and capacity towards human sexuality. If you believe it is strictly taboo then go away, however if you would like to consider a few of the infinite possibilities of intimate relating,  Browse erotic stories, they are not searchable

If life is not erotic, it is not life because the erotic represents the fullness or completeness of life

You have made some decent points there. But Eroticism (from the Greek ἔρως, eros—”desire”) is a quality that causes sexual feelings, as well as a philosophical contemplation concerning the aesthetics of sexual desire, sensuality and romantic love. That quality may be found in any form of artwork, including painting, sculpture, photography, drama, film, music or literature. It is also used in advertising. The term may also refer to a state of sexual arousal or anticipation of such – an insistent sexual impulse, desire, or pattern of thoughts.

I can see your point that the fullness of life is erotic but I’m sure that eroticism for me and most of the people is really what turns us on and makes me think about sex and who to get it on with xxoo
