The world deserves truth and justice
The people of the world have suffered for too long as they endure oppression and tyranny, but these are the countries that have not actually been bombed into submission by the United States and Britain.
Bolivian President Evo Morales is preparing to file a lawsuit against the US government for crimes against humanity. But in a far off country like New Zealand, we may be wondering what all the fuss is about, so here are a few of the cases that the United States should be tried for
The Spanish war and the American annexation of the Philippines. US troops are thought to have executed over 1 million Filipinos and reports of the time say that they would herd all the villagers into a building and then set fire to it or simply shoot them on the street for not understanding American English.
Since then the US has attacked Korea and Vietnam, assassinated president's and replaced the democratically elected governments in over 50 countries to install their own puppet dictators.
Iraq is the scene of one of its worst atrocities, here the United States invaded a defenceless country, and 90% of the casualties have been civilians. Today in 2013, this genocide continues through harsh economic sanctions, which primarily kill the children and the poor.
It's well past time the USA was held to account.
But I don't see that the USA or any of its officials will ever be held to account because the world is simply afraid of them and their own official policies prohibit any United States citizen from being charged in the Hague. They have gone so far as to drop plans to invade Europe and rescue in the United States citizen unfortunate enough to be standing in front of the International criminal Court.
The United States is often referred to as the bully in the playground, even by its closest friends. But the USA as a law unto itself and does not listen to anyone else. And yet, to save itself, it must also save face. Therefore being charged as an international criminal is an appropriate and way overdue response to the crimes it's still committing today.
