Oh So Liberal

But what is liberal?

The dictionary says that the liberals are those willing to respect or accept behaviour or opinions different from one's own; to be open to new ideas concerned with broadening general knowledge and experience as opposed to technical or professional training.

According to Wiki, Liberalism is a political philosophy or world view founded on ideas of liberty and equality. Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programmes such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, gender equality, and international cooperation.

According to Student News Daily, Liberals believe in government action to achieve equal opportunity and equality for all and that it is the duty of the government to alleviate social ills, protect civil liberties, individual and human rights. They believe the role of the government is to guarantee that no one is in need. Liberal policies generally emphasize the need for the government to solve problems. AKA socialism.

Conservatives believe in personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, traditional American values and a strong national defence. Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals. Conservative policies generally emphasize empowerment of the individual to solve problems. AKA the survival of the fittest.

So we must ask if there's any clear definition of liberal?

Oh so Liberal
Gender Insanity with Elizabeth

The idea that the liberal embraces change seems to have gone out the window as many people who consider themselves liberal actually have a more conservative view.it really seems that liberal -conservative, Democrat-Republican, traditional - new age are all becoming philosophies of convenience. The new Liberal attitude seems to be that I am open to change and new ideas providing they don't upset me or require me to make any personal change or contribution.

Many liberals support migration from climatic, economic and war zones provided that those people do not live in their own neighbourhood. Conversely as we have seen many liberal young women are welcome such refugees into their neighbourhoods and even their homes. The consequence they have been beaten, raped and killed because some liberals are so blinded by the convictions they cannot see the truth of life.

I must concede that there is no clear definition of a liberal, it seems more like the idea of what is liberal is about embracing any change that provides personal gain without personal cost. People can be gay, transgender or anything they want to be an liberals celebrate that and in fact they will pump up people of difference to the exclusion of others which is clearly some form of insanity.

So when I was down, the whole notion of conservative or liberal comes down to a philosophy of immediate survival without any thought of a long-term future. It is this conflict of ideologies and tribalism which forces people to follow or join a particular philosophy that is destroying our world. People have an innate fear of change and death, and the sphere precludes them from taking self responsibility.

The Conservative views have fostered the growth of the corporations and the liberals have been complicit by not standing up against them because basically they want all the goodies. So really these notions of liberal and conservative have outlived their usefulness and we need to start talking about responsible human beings who can find meaning in life without the need to acquire stuff as opposed to the irresponsible people who are destroying the planet for the sake of transient pleasures.
