A study of human relationships
Modern sociology, or the study of who we are is an interesting but useless science based on observation of our bodies, ourselves and our lives in context of our environment and civilisation. It could also be termed a study on cause and effect.
A Generally Accepted Definition:
Sociology is the scientific study of human society, its origins and development, organizations, and institutions. It is a social science which uses various methods of empirical investigation and critical analysis to develop a body of knowledge about human social activity, structures, and functions.
The traditional focuses of sociology include social stratification, social class, culture, social mobility, religion, secularization, law and deviance.
However as there seems to be little or no stable foundation from which to draw conclusions from, so this remains a politicised subject. If one is to undertake a study of humanity and what it means to be human, one must go far deeper than religion and beliefs to really seek out the actual truth.
The truth however is closer to science fiction because in one instance we forget that the entirety of our life experience occurs within our own body and mind. Because we perceive the world through our senses, we cannot have any external experience and yet we have learned, in terms of Association although there is no knowing as to whether or not we see things the same way.
Buddha and a great many other saints and sages have taught us that the world is an illusion, but that we can through deep meditation come to understand our own vital nature. When we understand our own individual nature and that all life is mutually inclusive to the point that we exist inside the universe and we are part of the earth, but also the universe exists within us.
Such is the duality of our existence and when we look from this perspective sociology simply becomes a childish game. While sociology seeks to address the issues in our lives; social and political survival, and creating happiness, the downside for humanity is that sociology is also used as a tool for temporary survival. Politicians, corporations and anyone in power uses sociology as a tool or weapon to help them achieve profits and power over people. Its about influencing people's minds.
