Alcohol Causes Cancer

New evidence of alcohol industry distortion of science

It is well known in the scientific literature that alcohol is a causative agent in at least seven different types of cancer including two of the commonest – breast and colorectal – but also including mouth, pharynx, larynx, oesophagus, and liver. The evidence is based on over 100 studies since 2007, and the risk is not simply associated with heavy drinking; quite moderate amounts of alcohol are associated with an increased risk of cancer.

However, the public is surprisingly ignorant of these facts and one of the main reasons for this appears to be distortion of the evidence by the alcohol industry.

New research from Professor Mark Petticrew of the London School

Baking Soda and Cancer

Cure or Quackery?

Like cannabis, there is a huge amount of testimony that baking soda is effective in eliminating cancers but given the nature of cancers and the reluctance of individuals to modify their lifestyle, baking soda cannot be an across the board cure. It has a slightly salty, alkaline taste and is encoded as food additive E 500.

Sodium bicarbonate is most commonly known as Baking Soda. It’s a natural chemical compound with the formula NaHCO3 composed of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions. In nature the natural mineral form is nahcolite, a component of the mineral natron that is found dissolved in many mineral springs. While Sodium bicarbonate can occur as a solid crystal, it is sold as baking

Lies; The New Truth

An inversion of values

By lmsunshine94 @ Tumblr

In as much as very few people know the absolute truth of existence, humanity has always had a sense of what is true, what is untrue and the need for truth in a relative way. Our entire legal framework is established on the precept that there is some truth as to what happened in a particular situation and that truth must be revealed to establish innocence or guilt.

For the ordinary people, truth was that we must eat to live, we must reproduce to sustain the population and we must perform certain activities and behave in certain ways to maintain social harmony. Beyond this, any other idea such as the existence

Papaya - Nutrition and Healing

The fruit of the angels

Carica papaya is most commonly called “papaya” but may also be called papaw or pawpaw, it’s one 22 species in the genus Carica of the family Caricaceae that was native to the American tropics.

The papaya is a tree-like plant, with a single stem growing from 2 to 10 m tall, with spirally arranged leaves confined to the top of the trunk. The lower trunk is conspicuously scarred where leaves and fruit were attached.

Ripe Papaya has sweet taste, a soft butter-like consistency and it’s not surprising that Christopher Columbus described it as “fruit of the angels.” It’s widely eaten throughout the tropics and often available in the market places in temperate countries where it

Becoming response-able

Know your self

When we are young, we tend to think that we are invincible and that nothing could ever go wrong. However in our youth we often pushed the boundaries of life to see what we can get away with and when social life becomes more important than the needs of the body, the seeds of poor health are sometimes sown.

The word responsibility usually infers that you are either in a position of authority or you are someone to take the blame. But responsibility really means that one is able to respond to life which is why the headline response-able is written.

By taking responsibility and behaving responsibly, you can keep your life on track the

Movember

Men’s health awareness month

It is estimated that the lifetime risk for black men of dying of prostate cancer at approximately one in 12, the risk for white men is estimated to be about one in 24 and one in 44 for Asian men.

After lung cancer, prostate cancer is the second-leading killer cancer among men, with more than 240,000 new diagnoses and 28,000 deaths every year in the USA alone.

Research indicates that exposure to environmental toxins, especially a combination of arsenic and estrogen can cause cancer in prostate cells. Texas Tech University researchers revealed that humans exposed to a combination of both toxicants were almost twice as likely to develop cancerous cells in their prostate.

However,

Treating Prostate Cancer

A male terror

Prostate cancers progress

The prostate is a muscular gland somewhat bigger than a walnut that adds seminal fluid to the sperm before it is expelled during ejaculation – is the second leading site for cancer in men.

This condition typically affects men in the 40 – 60 year age group. It is suspected that the cause in part, lies with an inability to express emotionally and the stresses involved with performance anxiety and inadequate nutrition.

Prevention

Like anything, prevention is always better than cure. But in this age of political correctness and fluctuating attitudes towards the human body, having a healthy attitude toward one’s own body and life is a challenge but this is

Antiperspirants Cause Breast cancer

A personal view

The price of fashion

By Katrina Scott

Some time ago, I attended a Breast Cancer Awareness seminar put on by Terry Birk with support from Dan Sullivan. During the Q & A period, I asked why the most common (and what seemed to be deadliest) area for Breast Cancer was near the arm pit.

My question could not be answered at that time but now my question has been answered. I challenge you to re-think your everyday use of anti-perspirants which are products that could ultimately lead to a terminal illness.

Precaution? I certainly hope so.

A friend forwarded this to me. I showed it to a friend going through chemotherapy and she said she recently

The Cancer of the World

A rising anxiety

Most of us have sufficient common sense to be comfortable with the basic facts of life and not be too bothered by them. We understand the basic process of birth and living in a society where we must work and pay taxes.

Cancers are an imbalance within the environment of a particular individual where normal cell growth mutates. In terms of history, cancers have been common in individuals within all societies but they have a number of triggers that set them off.

The most obvious causes of cancer are bacteria, viruses and exposure to toxic substances such as radiation. These things cause a breakdown of individual human bodies resulting in death.

The human body is an organism,
