Are The Roots of Crime Biological?

A New Scientist Best Book of 2013. Winner of The Athenaeum of Philadelphia’s Annual Literary Award. Why do some kids from good environments become mass murderers? Is there actually such a thing as a natural born killer?

There are many theories about what makes people behave the way they do, but it comes down to a full belly, a stable family life and peace.

Adrian Raine, a pioneering neurocriminologist introduces the latest biological research into the causes of–and potential cures for–criminal behaviour. A few successful tests show that this approach can, indeed, work. On the island of Mauritius, for example, Raine and his colleagues provided extra nutrition, exercise and intellectual

The end of an era

Democracy was invented to give people self-determination and our recent ancestors fought two world wars that we should not be enslaved by tyranny, however our leadership is doing its utmost to consign us into submission to the corporations.

With an agreement being reached by government representatives of the participating countries, the agreement must be ratified before the TTP comes into effect.

Despite the objection by many thousands of people in New Zealand, this is looking more and more like a done deal and we will have to reconsider our fate.

So what does the TTPA represent?

For a small group of large corporations, this opens the door to freer trade and increased profitability.

Who will

Our changing world

2015 is sliding by

Some things do not really change, the rich are getting richer and the numbers of poor growing. Social injustice seems very secure as the status quo in the world seems unchanging.

As has been happening for a long time, new green energy like cars that run on water and other technologies threaten the dominance of the oil industry are suppressed. Similarly big Pharma still rules, but perhaps there are some cracks in the system as medical marijuana is being used more widely and Tesla motors looks set to shake up the energy market.

Organic food production is growing slowly as those who can afford the luxury support the producers, but unfortunately the majority must live on

Loosing the right to wholeness

Without freedom, there is no choice

Foreign owned under TPPA

The move by the US administration to rule the world is being done in such a way that those who are not rich will become slaves without rights. Without rights and basic freedoms there will be no choice about what we eat, or about where and how we live.

This is not a criticism of the American people, they have been totally fooled and screwed over and as new facts come to light thanks to Edward Snowdon, Wikileaks and many others, we can see how. In case you don’t know, here’s a quick look at our history:

After world war two, the US took over the British strategic assets

Economics and a cashless society

Is money a root of evil?

First, let’s look at money and where it came from.

Within our earliest cultures, people created things for their personal use as well as for use by the tribe or individuals. Early on in this process, the idea of barter arose allowing people to exchange goods and services in exchange for other goods and services.

There is no doubt that some individuals or even groups of individuals came up with the idea of trade for profit and we know this because traders have been traversing the globe for the past 20,000 years seeking fame and fortune.

Most trade was direct, goods or services for goods or services. With the advent of writing trade

The Tobacco Corporation

We can beat the corporation now, but not under the TTPA

A must watch as John Oliver spells out the problem of tobacco and takes the piss out of the corporation. But this is also why we don’t want the TTPA as he explains how international trade laws work in favour of the corporations.

The tobacco corporations are of course in league with the pharmaceutical giants who wish to inflect death and destruction of the world for the sake of their own profits. The corporate attitude can make one sick at heart which is all the reason why we must stand against them.

Ideally the tobacco corporations could well go out of business although some of them may switch to

The Global Weapons Trade

Our peers making a killing

“12 billion bullets are produced every year – enough to kill everyone on earth twice. In fact, every minute, one person is killed by armed violence. There are almost 1 billion guns in the world (of which about a quarter billion are in the U.S.). Guns or other light weapons are involved in roughly 60% of all human rights violations. Three quarters of all the weapons in the world – light and heavy – are supplied by the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany. In 2011, exports of arms by the U.S. rose to 3 quarters of the total market.

Global transfers of large conventional weapons such as tanks and planes

The NSA's dirty tactics

Spying on opponents sexual activities

Pretty girls are drawn to politicians, the rich and the powerful like moths to a flame. Sex is often a moral crime without a victim and as we know from political world, inappropriate sexual relations have bought down governments.

Because we have morality, everyone seems to be involved in everyone else’s business primarily as minders and censors. Back in 1960s the British government was rocked by the Perfumo Affair. In this case, tales of illicit sex and spying were revealed to the public.

More recently we had former US president Bill Clinton’s sex life publicised, but the nature of our society and in particular that of North American society, illicit affairs go on

Typhoon Haiyan

Global warming or Weather Control?

The Philippines is a country that deals with typhoons and severe storms on a regular basis. Typhoon Haiyan was the largest ever recorded typhoon in world history and it may be a sign of events to come as global warming increases.

There have been suggestions of blame aimed at HAARP, The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program is an ionospheric research program jointly funded by the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency which has been accused of creating bizarre weather events. But there is no evidence and the administration does not release information about the facility.

It trickles down. Money sent to
