A Lack of Sleep

A basic human need

We have not even noticed that the cause behind all many illnesses and disorders of our lives may be a lack of sleep and the amount and quality of sleep has changed with the development of human civilization.

From the day man discovered artificial light, sleep has become very troubled and as more and more gadgets fall into our hands, the quality of sleep continues to change. There was a time when people spent 6 to 8 hours per night in total darkness, but with all the modern gadgetry we have today, few bedrooms are completely dark due to the number of LED lights that run 24 seven.

But others think sleep is unnecessary and too

Why do we dream?

Active slumber

We all dream even if we don’t remember and there is no definitive answer as to why, but this question has fascinated us for aeons and oceans of ink have been consumed in penning authoritative works about dreams. Even the act sleep itself is still largely a mystery and of all things that occur in sleep, dreams are the most fascinating.

Most of us remember some dreams, but we also have many dreams that we don’t recall and dreams also affect our moods. There are happy dreams that leave us feeling good, sad dreams that leave us perhaps more reflective than sad, adventurous dreams filled with excitement, flying dreams that are empowering, erotic dreams and Continue reading Why do we dream?

Sleep Walking

Nocturnal wandering

Sleep walking can happen to anyone, but of all the sleep states, it occurs less commonly and is more likely to be encountered by watching discovery channel than in real life. Yet like so many things about ourselves we don’t understand, sleep walking is such an interesting subject that it has featured on global television.

Sleepwalking, contrary to most belief, apparently has little to do with dreaming. In fact, it occurs when the sleeper is enjoying his most oblivious, deepest sleep; a stage in which dreams are not usually reported. According to the US National Sleep Foundation, sleepwalking is prevalent in 1–15% of the general populace and is most prevalent in children between the age of 4–8 years

Wet Dreams

Nocturnal emissions

Wet Dreams are generally defined as erotic dreams that culminate in orgasm and/or ejaculation for boys. They are a normal part of life and experienced by almost every boy growing through puberty and may continue through adulthood, girls have similar experiences.

It is generally believed that most all teenagers and young adults have wet dreams from time to time and this is a normal and healthy part of life. If you are at all concerned about your wet or erotic dreams, don’t be because they are a normal part of life, but unfortunately like the confusion around sex and other aspects of life we don’t understand, it’s not often talked about.

Problems Sleeping?

Why Can’t I sleep?

There are many reasons that we have difficulty sleeping and a lack of sleep over time causes the body and mind to become less able and more susceptible to physical and mental illness. But sleep deprivation is a cause of suffering.

How much sleep do we need?

Babies can sleep over 12 hours per day, but by the time we reach 60 years of age, many get by happily with 3 or 4 hours per night. There is no hard and fast rule, but most adults get by with 6-8 hours per night. Those who don’t need as much sleep have more time to do the things they enjoy.

What keeps as awake?

Factors like noise,

Wet dreams when married

Oh what will she think?

Life maybe is sweet, you and your partner have regular sex, but one night it happens. It matters not so much what the sex was like or who with, it’s just that your PJ’s or sheets are wet and what will she think?

When you are sleeping beside your beloved and wet or erotic dreams occur, can you make it to the bathroom and hide the evidence before she notices or is it too late?

Perhaps you should tell her and lie that you were with her? She may be disappointed in not remembering but she is unlikely to hold it against you as an act of unfaithfulness?

Wet dreams can occur at any stage

Inspiration

Believe in yourself and your dreams will come true..

Don’t be pushed by your problems..

Be led by your dreams..

We discover ourselves as human beings when we move in the direction of our dreams. It’s far better to pursue a remote and unlikely goal than to deprive oneself of the forward motion that goal provides. Norman Vincent Peale (1898 – 1993)
