In our search for truth about our origins, the 32000-35000 year old Idol of Narasimha, an avatar of Lord Vishnu found in Germany shatters theories opening new windows for investigation and understanding. After all, we were supposed to be uncivilised and unconnected hunter gathers back then.
Archaeologists exploring a cave system in the Lonetal area near Ulm, Germany had found many representations of birds, horses, turtles and single lions, but the lion man idol made from the tusk of a mammoth in the form of a human body with a lion head created a stir across the world.

The place to spend Christmas in Germany
Everyone seems to make quite a big deal out of Christmas here, with every town having its own Christmas markets. Houses are all lit up with lights and Santa’s, and the sometimes-there snow makes it quite special. The Christmas markets appear to be identical in every town around Stuttgart, with the city center’s being the biggest. There is an ice-skating rink, tons of stalls with all kinds of sweet treats, and of course the very traditional hot cup of German mulled wine.

Although much of Berlin was destroyed in WW2 and the city rebuilt, many national treasures have been restored, you can walk through historic places like Brandenburger Tor the history of the nation, or to the remains of the Berlin wall. Immerse in the rich and diverse art galleries and museums where you can see many of the world’s treasures.Museum buildings are fine examples of creative architecture.
