Also known as Yin Yang Huo and Inyokaku, Horny Goat Weed may sound a little comic, however it has been in use for thousands of years with a sound reputation as an excellent aphrodisiac and today is used in many aphrodisiac formulas.

Healing uses:
Used as a traditional botanical medicine in China and Japan, Horny Goat Weed is used medicinally for disorders of the kidneys and liver as well as the joints, though is best known as an aphrodisiac. It is believed that Horny Goat Weed has testosterone-like effects which stimulates sexual activity in men by increasing sperm production, stimulating and increasing sexual desire. In women it is said to increase desire & libido, so regular use can help support higher performance both in the gym and the bedroom.

The aphrodisiac effects Horny Goat Weed have reportedly been researched with mice. When they were fed Horny Goat Weed, it produced an improvement in sperm count, higher testosterone levels and frequency of intercourse.

It has also been demonstrated to increase libido and improve the quality of life in human patients with chronic renal failure. Other users report that when using Horny Goat Weed they experience less fatigue and it is believed that it may help to prevent adrenal exhaustion in high stress situations.

Growing Horny Goat Weed:
